When he was still a human, Kou was an orphan who was abandoned in a manhole, thus having no knowledge of his birth parents. His only desire that time was to see the vast blue sky out of his manhole. He eventually ended up in the orphanage where he became a playtoy for the aristocrats due to his beauty. He was abused everyday and he forced himself to accept being a playtoy since he was able to have a lot of 'nice' things from the orphanage. However, these young men don't seem quite human. In fact, they all turn out to be vampires.
Even when they are licking her neck there is slurping sounds, as if they can't contain their vampiric saliva and have to constantly be sucking it back, it is horrifying. He is actually Edgar, Shu's only human childhood friend whom Shu thought had perished in a fire. Yuma, then Edgar had actually survived the fire due to unknown circumstances but had lost all his memories of his past and who he was, resulting him suffering from amnesia. He later joined a street gang and went under the name 'Bear'. In order to survive on the streets, he had to abandon his timidness and innocent traits; becoming, rough, violent, aggressive, rebellious and dominating over time.
Shu recognizes Yuma as Edgar, but refuses to believe it at first, thinking it's only his imagination. Reiji however, realizes that Yuma is actually Edgar some time after Shu. Azusa Mukami ( 無神 アズサ, Mukami Azusa) Voiced by: (Japanese); (English) Azusa is the fourth and youngest son of the Mukami family.
Also she never has any marks on her neck when the next guy has a go unless it is valuable for them to notice (eg. 'oh I see so-and-so has already been here, what a guy.' There was even a scene where one vampire bit her then when he went to bite her again the previous marks were already gone. What else can I say about the story, nothing else happens. Additionally, the show’s sadistic voice tones of Ayato and Raito gets the job done in that field. Diabolik Lovers is the perfect example of how to not adapt a shoujo anime series based off a game. Cordelia encouraged this behaviour stating she loved his dolls and thinks he should make more. Many of these dolls were his mother's lovers once they were of no further use to her. When he finds Cordelia's bloodied corpse in the rose bushes (upon being pushed from the balcony by Laito) he burned what remained of her, laughing as he did so and put her ashes inside Teddy.

Christa ( クリスタ, Kurisuta) Voiced by: Yuki Tashiro (Japanese); (English) Christa is Karlheinz's third wife and the mother of Subaru. Before she met Karlheinz, she was known as the 'White Rose' by all vampires because of her beauty and kindness. Karlheinz married her leading to Subaru's birth. Christa became mentally unstable when she discovered Karlheinz saw her merely as another experiment. Subaru began to believe that it was his fault for being conceived and he was constantly pressured by his mother to kill her with a silver knife that can annihilate vampires. Seiji Komori ( 小森 セイジ, Komori Seiji) Seiji is Yui's priest father who runs his own church. Not much is said about him, but prior to the start of the series, he suddenly had to go overseas for work and left Yui in the care of the Sakamaki's.
